Christmas Girl

Happy Thursday everyone.  Did you all make it through the Holidays ok?  I know my Christmas was Wonderful!!  I love having my children all together at home.  Having the grandchildren there too is a fabulous bonus!!   Love them to pieces.
Well today is my day to post for Jen's Digi stamps. I just love her stamps, so so cute :)  Today, even though it is not Christmas and it has passed us by, I still wanted to do a Holiday image, so I chose "Christmas Girl".  You can purchase her here.  I hate to see the Holidays end.

I used pink Core'dinations card stock for the base, for this Center Step card.  I started with a 5 and 1/2 by 11 card base.   Measured one inch in on both sides of the card and then cut from the one inch mark to the 6 and 1/2 inch mark..... Scored at 5 and 1/2 inches in between the cut lines and then scored at 1" and 2" and then 6 and 1/2".  Mountain valley fold and there is your center step card.
You can see the tutorial at SplitCoast Stampers here.

I used the red Stickles for her ear rings.

(love these flowers)

( I used the stickles here on the hearts and berries)

Supplies used:
Core'dinations card stock
Christmas patterned paper from stash
Letraset Promarkers
Stampin Up red. marker
Stampin up Holly Stamp
CTMH  Honey marker
red Stickles
1/2 pearls
Prima flowers
red ribbon
star dust Stickles
red 1/2 pearls
Stampin up large oval punch
ctmh stamp
Dcwv metallic paper

I hope you like todays' card, I am happy with how it came out.  I still need a lot of practice with the markers, but I am having fun trying.

Jen Sitting On A Gift

Good morning my crafty friends,  Today I sharing a Design team post for Jen's Digi Stamps.  I am using the digi stamp, which you can purchase in her store here.

"Jen Sitting On A Gift"

I used Letraset Promarkers to color her in,  and then i cut her out so I could add her to the card after with 3 dimensional pop dots/  I used a light blue base from Michael's Recollections card stock,  finished card size is 5 and 1/2 by 5 and 1//2.  the next mat was bright green at 5 and 1/4 by 5 and 1/4. and then pink at 5 by5.  I used Christmas patterend paper with ornaments in the background. and so I used Cricut Artiste cartridge ornament cut at 2 inches to add on the base with a dimensional to help hold the card up.

For bling, I used some purple  Recollections buttons covered with glitter that I found on clearance at Michaels to give it some dazzle.  For the ribbon, I received today in the mail from fellow crafter Michelle Smith,a pretty green with blue polka dots, which is the opposite of how I colored the bow on the present so it worked out great!  On top of the ornament on the base,I added a pretty purple bow that has a small pearl on it. Then to finish it off...a little Stickles on the headband, scarf and leggings.

I hope you liked Jen Sitting On A Gift !!
Make sure you stop over to Jen's Digi Stamp shop and pick up a digi today:)
Please stop back again!

Christmas Tear Bear

Happy Tuesday everyone:)  I was at it again last night making Christmas cards for special people in my life.  And of course who doesn't like a little tear bear on their card???  I actually used the Panda Bear template from the Beary Scrap to make the bear, I wanted a little bigger bear.  I cut out a Christmas stocking from the Art Philosophy cartridge and added my own patches, with faux stitching.  I found a cute little candy cane sticker and placed it in the lil bears hand.  The card is A2 size card, although the little guy sticks out a bit.

The second card I made is a moose one.  used the same cuts, only I made a poinsettia from the Artiste cartridge.

Well short post today, I have my grand son coming shortly, if I am on my laptop...he wants it and he is only 3, need I say more, lol.

3 GirlJam challenge#8

HO HO HO!!!

I just wanted to post another card I made.
It is a 5 1/2 by 5 and 1/2 card made with the head and paws of a tear critter moose:) Pattern bought from the Beary Scrap.  I added 2  red bows that were given as a gift, so I do not know where they came from , but they have little pearls on them and I thought they were adorable for the little gal. I used a banner chipboard from Closed to My heart and card stock from Core'dinations and inks from CTMH  with rub ons from my stash that I got from a fellow blogger.

I am going to enter the card in a challenge from 3 Girl Jam #8 challenge..Christmas Inspirations.  You can check it out here/

Design team post

Good morning all you crafty people, today is Tuesday, December 4th and i can hardly believe it.  Another year gone by so fast.  Christmas is right around the corner, and it sure feel like it outside.
Well for today, I am doing my first post as a design team member of Jen's Digi Stamps. I am so excited, she has some of the cutest images to color.  Love the faces.  For todays' project, I did a Christmas card using, Cottan and Candy as Santa Digi.

In the spirit of the Holidays, Cottan and Candy as Santa is FREE for my followers to download and try coloring for yourself, after you are done you are going to want to buy another on I am sure, they are all  so cute , look great on cards and the price is amazing:) Merry Christmas from Jen's Digi Stamps.

I colored with Letreaset Pro markers and 2 of the markers were from Close To My Heart.

I cut a banner from the Artiste cartridge, and stamped Merry and Bright in Black Close To my heart Ink.  I used light blue chalk and a cotton ball to lightly color around the image to soften it up and put a few red rhinestones from Bo Bunny,to have a little bling:)
For a final touch I used a white gel pen to outline the card and a black gel pen to outline the banner.

I hope you enjoyed today's card, and hope you stop in to Jen's Digi Stamp shop and take a look around:) I am sure there is an adorable image waiting just for you:)

Christmas stars

I just wanted to do a quick post to show you some more craft fair  goodies I have been making.  I saw something like these the other day and it inspired me to try them. I can not remember if I saw them on Pinterest, or blogger or FB. but if the oringinal artist is out there please let me know I would love to give you recognition.  I am going to call these Christmas star pots.  the original crafter had these stars in Spools, but i had these small flower pots kicking around, they were rejects from a dowel mill, they all have a defect.  Made me think of Rudolph cartoon and the "misfit" toys,  I hated to toss or burn these wooden pots so I gavr them a purpose, table centerpieces or fireplace or shelf decor.  Someone mentioned they would make cute table place markers.   Any how, List of supplies used:

acrylic paint
Artiste and Art Philosophy cartridges
ribbon
CTMH inks and stamps
glue gun
Bo Bunny gems
cotton bandages (tops of mittens and stockings)
Crafters Moss
white Flock (patches glued on to look like patches of snow)
Bells
Dowels
assrted Christmas papers
Buttons

Hope you like them, if you have any questions, be sure to message me!

List of products used:
Cricut
Artiste cartridge
Cricut Sampler
Ribbons And Rosettes
Zig Pen
Rubber cement
DCWV..The Crafty Stack
Jolee's candy/cross
Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress pad Olive green

Here is my project about me:

To me, my family is the center of everything, as you can see it the layout, and next is the extension of my family, my pets, a golden retriever named Shelby, cat ma==named Lois and a Rosey Bourke parakeet names Sammy

Through my whole marriage, my husband has been my constant companion and the love of my life, we do everything together (except craft.lol) and have fun doing it:)
and what has kept us together is out love and God, and our faith.

Another thing about me is I am a "Chocoholic".  Have been for years, there is no cure, I am hopeless! I showed this with the little pieces of candy I got from Jolee's Halloween stickers.

Another love of my life is flowers, I love growing them indoors, in pots.  When I was younger, (not that I am that old),  I used to spend a lot of time out door in flower gardens I had started.  My favorites are roses and lillies.  So I put some roses on the layout to represent that, as well as a stick pin I made.

And lastly I added a little spool of thread next to the small journal paper, which does a quick description ALL ABOUT ME.

Now your off to the talented Nadja.

                          Happy crafting, Cathy
