HIMCR Challenge 203~Super Scraps Saturday

Happy Saturday crafty friends!!  are you ready for another challenge??  I hope so, this is Super Scraps Saturday at Hiding In My Craft Room, and we are using digital images from A Day with Daisies ,  and boy do they have some adorable Images to choose from.   The Prize for this challenge is a $12.00 Gift card from the store.

So for today, the digital image I chose was this adorable little fairy..

I used Close To My Heart papers that I have in my scrap box, a doily, ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon,  and bling from my stash .
I colored her with Spectrum Noir markers.  For this one I forgot to write down the markers I used, so I made another card and remembered to write them down (plus I loved coloring her).

for the second card, I made an Easel card and I used more of the CTMH scraps and stamp and assorted buttons, a leaf stamp from CTMH, and some assorted flowers I have in a box as well.  For the Spectrum Noir marker colors I used the colors below
Hat and skirt~PL 1,2,3,4,5
Skin~ FS 2,4,5,6,9
Grass ~ CG2
wings~ CG 1,3,4
Sky~TB1,2,3
Flowers~ OR1

I hope you like my projects today. please head over to HIMCR and enter the SSS Challenge!!  While you are there, check out the other Design Team girls projects.

HIMCR # 202 Summer Colors

Hiding In My Craft Room
Challenge #202
Summer Colors

Sponsor: Sami Stamps

The giveaway is a $12 Gift Certificate to Sami Stamps

For today's challenge I used an image from Sami Stamps to creat a card with what I like for summer colors..

I just love the little bird image, he is just a cutie:)  I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color him, and did not remember to write all the colors down that I used.  Sorry.  The paper I believe is a scrap form SU. and Card stock is from Close To My Heart.  The red ribbbon was from a friend and do not know where she got it from but I thought it was pretty and wanted to bring out the red in the heart.
The "Hello" sentiment and ink are from CTMH and the sequins are from Doodlebug.
I hope you like my project and I have inspired you to join our challenge.  You have until the end of the week to get your project in, before the next Challenge on Saturday. Good luck and thanks for stopping by.  The link below will take you over to HIMCR blog so you can see the other Design Team member projects!! :)
Happy Crafting

Sweet Baby

Hello crafty friends, how you all doing this fine Tuesday?  Today I got up and finished all the chores I wanted to do, and then decided I wanted to try a new technique of some sort, so I check out some of the things I pinned on Pinterest and saw a way to dress up your ribbon on your cards.
The technique was to string the ribbon and pearls on a cord, and make a necklace, but since I did not have any cord, I used thread and a needle.  and instead of making a necklace, I made a strip to decorate a card.
You string the pearls onto the thread and then make 3 moutains and valleys and then add a pearl and 3 mountains and valleys.. and so on and so on....

After I got the string of pearls as long as I wanted, I tied it off on both ends and then made a triple bow and glued them both on to my project...

Voila!!!  A "Sweet Baby" card.

Products used..
Pearls from Hobby Lobby
KaDoodle Bug Designs file-Celebrate and go Bananas
CTMH cardstock
Flowers from stash
gems from The Paper Studio
Fine point black pen
whitel gel pen
ribbbon from REally Reasonable Ribbon
Stamp set-CTMH Cute Koalas
CTMH Dutch Blue ink pad

Hope you like the card. thanks for peeking in..
