A little inking

Hello crafters. how was your weekend?  Mine was awesome, my husband and I celebrated 35 years of being married on Sunday..35..unbelievable!!  Time sure does fly.  We shared a lot of wonderful years together. Hoping to have many many more.

This evening I took a little down time and caught up on some orders and projects that I had due.  One of the things I wanted to do also was to check out some of the projects I had pinned on Pinterest that I wanted to try.  I do a lot of my cards with die cuts and svg files, but I wanted to try some simple inking cards, and that is just what I did.

I used black white and autumn terrecotta for card stock, inked the top piece of white cardstock with autumn terrecotta and black and whisper. used retired CTMH stamp set D1375 Treasures and also D1584 Big Hug.

Hope you like it and will leave a liitle bloggy love.

Happy Birthday "21"

Good eveing friends, Did you all have a great day?  I did, I babysat my grand children today,  Kaylani, Bella, Sean and Eli.  Had a great day with them, but at the end of the day...I am pooped.  Tonight I am not going to be crafting, I have the day off tomorrow, so I will be taking out my crafty things and going to cut a bunch of files for projects coming up.

A few nights ago, I made a couple special order cards, and thought I would share them with you this evening.  The customer wanted the cards done in purple.  So I pawed through my loose sheets of papers and pulled out my  Martha Sterwart punches, ribbons. flowers , bling, lace and cuts from my Cricut. and these are the 2 cards I came up with..oh and the cartridge was CTMH Art Philosophy.

I just wanted to mention the big daisey flower I made from the daisey flower on the Artiste cartridge.  I hope you like the cards.  My customer was pleased.  Leave a comment. I would love to hear what you think.
Happy Crafting ...Cathy

P.S.   ...CTMH is coming out with a Brand NEW cartridge and you will be able to  uy it August 1st!!!!!

Anchor Bear

Hello friends, I hope today finds you all doing well.  Today was a beautiful day here in the western foothills of Maine.  The sun was shining, a breeze was blowing and the temperatures were just right.  Took a trip out of town for a doctor appointment. All went well, so came home and rexed by putting a card together.

For this card, I am not sure there is a name for the style, but it is the first time I made it and used my own measurements cause I could not find instructions.  I took a, 8 and 1/2 by 7 piece of card stock and scored at 2 inches and then 2 and 3/4 inches on the 8 and 1/2 inch side and then flipped it over and scored the same thing on the opposite end.  then folded up and down on one end and the same n the opposite.  I then matted the two two inch ends with Close To My Heart Pacifica paper and Seaside.  and then I mated the center piece the same way.   Embellishments are CTMH Seaside assortment, retired and the canvas buttons which I stamped with an anchor.
And lastly I added the KaDoodle Bug Designs~ Cutie KaToodle  Anchor Bear.
I hope you like him, I love how it turned out.

HIMCR #208 - LOL! Lots of Layers! (July 18th)

HIMCR #208 - LOL! Lots of Layers! July 18th

Happy Saturday everyone, and welcome to Hiding In MY Craft Room's # 208 challenge.  This week is LOTS of Layers.

This weeks' sponsor is Hiding In My Craft Room and the prize is...To be Determined

For my project this week I did a Triple Stamp card. It is a A2 size card (4 1/2 by 5 1/2) each layer is 1/4 inch smaller as you go along...
I used all Close to My Heart Products...inks stamps and card stock.

I took the 3 layesr of white Cardstock and used washi tape to hold them together and stamped all around, then I carefully removed the washi tape and then matted them on the card and it gives the card a lot of dimension as well as layers.

I then added some bling and some twine.
I hope you like this.
Now we would like for you to give a layered project a try and share with us.  Head over to the Hiding in My Craft Room blog, check out the other DT projects for some inspiration..thanks for looking in:)
