Artiste...Santa wreath

Santa wreath

Good evening everyone, I have been getting into the spirit of Fall and getting an early start on Christmas decor..not to mention Craft fairs.   So today I picked up a couple rolls of Tulle and a styrofoam wreath ring and started a cuttin.  I cut a bunch, and by bunch I mean ALOT of strips and started tying around the styrofoam wreath.   Two thirds of it I did red and the last third I did white.

Ather they were all tied on,  I cut out the mittens from the Artiste cartridge from Close to my Heart..

the mittens at 4 inches, (which I ran through the Cuttlebug).. as well as the Ho Ho Ho, but the Ho Ho Ho, was cut 4 inches on white and 4 and a quarter in green to give it a shadow, and glued off center, and added a couple rhinestones ...gotta have the BLING,lol.

the boots, I could not find a cut for them, so I free handed them.
the eyes were made with circles from the Art  Philosophy cartridge..1  3/4 INCHES, for the  pink of the eye, cut in half and inked with Tim Holtz barn Red distress ink, and the eye balls ..1and 1/2 in white and 1 1/4 in black. The nose in pink at 2 inches and inked the same and hilighted with white gel pen.

Well that is about it..hope you like it. going to try to come up with other ideas for these wreaths.  Have a good night!!

Here is what I made for a project today....the funny thing is, I had a card all made for this hop, and then I saw this cut on the Artiste cartridge, and I had to try it.lol

I picked up a paper pak of 12x12 papers from K&Co.   The papers are gorgeous.  The pad is called Sweet Nectar.

The mail box was cut from the Artiste cartridge at 3 Inches and scored and glued together.  I used Bazzil paper to make the flag and border, and embellished with yellow string beads and lace.  On the top I added some mulberry roses. and stamped "A warm hello" on the flag.

The flowers were all cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge with the exception of the blue rose which I used a punch.. retro flower lg. and layered it and rolled it and used the Gilmore flower maker tools to shape it and glue gun to hold together.  I used Tim Holtz distress pads to ink edges of the flowers with Pickled Raspberries ink.

On the mailbox door, along with the assorted flowers, there is a mini envelope I made and inked, laying under the flowers, not sure if you can see it.  I really had fun making this, now what to do with it.lol

Christmas stars

I just wanted to do a quick post to show you some more craft fair  goodies I have been making.  I saw something like these the other day and it inspired me to try them. I can not remember if I saw them on Pinterest, or blogger or FB. but if the oringinal artist is out there please let me know I would love to give you recognition.  I am going to call these Christmas star pots.  the original crafter had these stars in Spools, but i had these small flower pots kicking around, they were rejects from a dowel mill, they all have a defect.  Made me think of Rudolph cartoon and the "misfit" toys,  I hated to toss or burn these wooden pots so I gavr them a purpose, table centerpieces or fireplace or shelf decor.  Someone mentioned they would make cute table place markers.   Any how, List of supplies used:

acrylic paint
Artiste and Art Philosophy cartridges
ribbon
CTMH inks and stamps
glue gun
Bo Bunny gems
cotton bandages (tops of mittens and stockings)
Crafters Moss
white Flock (patches glued on to look like patches of snow)
Bells
Dowels
assrted Christmas papers
Buttons

Hope you like them, if you have any questions, be sure to message me!

Happy Crafting....Cathy

DCWV..The Crafty Stack
Jolee's candy/cross
Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress pad Olive green

Here is my project about me:

To me, my family is the center of everything, as you can see it the layout, and next is the extension of my family, my pets, a golden retriever named Shelby, cat ma==named Lois and a Rosey Bourke parakeet names Sammy

Through my whole marriage, my husband has been my constant companion and the love of my life, we do everything together (except craft.lol) and have fun doing it:)
and what has kept us together is out love and God, and our faith.

Another thing about me is I am a "Chocoholic".  Have been for years, there is no cure, I am hopeless! I showed this with the little pieces of candy I got from Jolee's Halloween stickers.

Another love of my life is flowers, I love growing them indoors, in pots.  When I was younger, (not that I am that old),  I used to spend a lot of time out door in flower gardens I had started.  My favorites are roses and lillies.  So I put some roses on the layout to represent that, as well as a stick pin I made.

And lastly I added a little spool of thread next to the small journal paper, which does a quick description ALL ABOUT ME.

Now your off to the talented Nadja.

                          Happy crafting, Cathy

Card Creating Tueasday @ MCCR

Welcome to my Design Team post for Card Creating Tuesday.  My project today is a card, that was to be mostly pink, by bringing awareness to womens' breast health, by which is recognized in general by a pink ribbon.  My card, while it is mostly pink, I was also thinking that the month is October in which womens breast health is recognized, as well as halloween, so i combined the 2 and tried to made a little card of encouragement and to let someone know I care and are here for them.

I used the 4 Birds on parade cartridge to cut the bird vampie count, at 3 1/2 inches and the sentiment.  I used some scrap papers from my stash, not sure what company, sorry.   The flowers were cut from the Artiste cartridge and then I put a pink Rhinestone from EK Success.  The rhinestone swirl in the upper right corner is from Ek Success too..  On the white mat I cut one end with a Martha Stewart border punc.

Here is the lil bird close up, I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen Ditress ink  on  the wing tips and   gelpen for nose and eyes.

To fnish it off, on the inside, I used a Creative memmories punch to add a pink ribbon.  So there you have it:)  I hope you like it.  To see more wonderful projects from other design Team members go to Ericas' My Cricut Craft roo  here>  mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday?

Good morning friends, this is my design team post for My Cricut Craft Room.  Today is Would You Ever Guess Wdenesday, and what we do on this day is make a project, not using the main Character images, and trying to show other ways, other then the obvious ones, on using a cut or cartridge.  This week I have to use a Create A Critter cartridg and not use the Animal cuts.

Papers used were from Michael's Recollections collections and DCWV and MY Mind's Eye. What I decided to do was take the Stamp cut on page 67  as an accessory, and instead of using it as a stamp, I made it into a picture frame.  I cut it out at 5 1/2.  I then took a piece of My Minds Eye and made the Mat.  Cut it at 3 1/4 by 4 1/4.     I then cut a log on page 72 in the accessory column at 1 1/2 and inked it with TH distress ink Walnut stain.  My next cut was the behive on page 68, cut at 2 1/2, and the edges were inked as well, and then a small piece of Trendy twine was added at the top.  Next I used the  flower accessory cut on page 69. cut at 2 inches.

Lastly I used the Artiste cartridge to make a bow on the bottom of the card....I just Love this feature!!   After I cut it out, I used a white gel pen to make Faux stitching around the edges. and added a Rhinestone brad to the center.  I used the stamp Your the Best, from CTMH. For bling, I used Bo Bunny gems .

Well that is today's project, hope you like it, leave a comment:) I love them.

Now to see more projects like this head over to Erica's at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

Have a super day!!              Cathy

MCCR Theme Day Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone!!  Today is Theme Day Thursday at My Cricut Craft Room, and it is my day to post a project.  Todays' project  is party elements...Invitations, decorations, and other things you would see and use at a Halloween themed Party.

Before we get to my project I just wanted to mention the change in the "Theme day Thursday Banner and how it is  Pink.  For now and until October 15th, we will be displaying pink Banners as well as using pink in our projects in some way to remember  those who have suffered with Breast cancer and in honor of Breast Cancer awareness.

Now for my project, I did not have any particular project in mind...no end point, no vision of what I was going to do for this.  brain freeze,  So I just grabbed come solid color card stock I got from Walmart, my Atg Gun, Gel pens and zig pen and used the cartridges that were in my Jukebox, and looked for Halloween images and let it take me where it would.   This is what I cam up with....

I made this project using 5 solid color card stock, orange, black, purple, bright green and white.  There is a witch hat centerpiece, a cupcake wrapper, a cup cake topper, a place card, an invitation and 3 popcorn treat boxes.

The hat was cut at 7" fro Artiste and the black base is a 7 " circle.  I adhered the green cone to the black base with Fabri-tac, because before it dried I put some frilly black ribbon around it to hide where it attached.  I then cut a strip of  white tuhle  and glued it on.  there are paper flowers cut from Art Philosophy and Artiste/  The Pumpkin was cut from Simply Scarecrow, but the face on it I got from Artiste.

I cut the cup cake wrapper from Artiste, the one that had a spider web at the top of it.  I then put the stars that were cut from the hat onto it to decorate it a little.

And, of course you have to have a little cupcake topper... so I cut some zig zag circles and layered them with a spider and stuck some balloons on tooth picks with liquid glass, to hold them up.

I love the little popcorn boxes you can cut with the Artiste cartridge.  they are just the right size at
4 1/2" to put a few little goodies in.. I had bought some chocolate for when I made this to decorate, but I ate it, I am a chocoholic!  I added the names of my grandchildren on each box so I can surprise them when they come over.  I also added some Jolees Candy corns , to embellish them.

Here is the table Place card....there is a spot on the back to write a name, I think it is cute:)

This is the invitation...the card was cut from Art Philosophy.  the sentiment was from Artiste as well as the jagged edged shape.  the Black dripping goo is actually an Icicle cut from Martha Stewart Seasonal CakeArt.

This is the inside of the card.  Love the Boo!

Well we are nearing the end of today's post, but before I go I wanted to show you my Pink.
I added a dimensional sticker on the back of one of the pop corn boxes/  It has pink Ink and pink rhinestone in the middle.   I hope this post was not too picture heavy for you, I really like how it came out for not really having a plan.

Thank you for stopping by and now to see more projects like this, you will want to go to

Congrats!

Today is a quick post, the project is a congrats card.  I have been making quite a few cards lately, but been  selling a  lot of them faster than I can post them...which is a good thing!

I had not done a Congrats card in a while, and the ones I did do were all brightly colored so I decided to do one a little more subdued.  I found these beautiful wedding papers from Little Yellow Bicycle's Swoon papers.  They are such Pretty papers.  I just simply made a quick card...8 1/2 by 5 1/2/    White card stock,  white tulle, white circle for Wishing you Congrats stamp from Close To My Heart { which you can order from me:) a paper ribbon, which I love, that you can cut and put together in a flash, from the Artiste cartridge, which you also can get through me:)  I used I used a rhinestone brad to hold the bows together.

I added a few buttons on the top, whit black and w/b.  Of course used Cricut Expression 2, paper trimmer, Liquid glass from Close To My Heart. fabri_tac to hold the tulle down. and that is it. I think it is pretty, hope you like it. leave some love and stop back again:)

                                                              Happy Crafting!!
