Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #62

This weeks sketch challenge can be interpreted many ways, I think.  and what I decided to do was make a 6x6 card, mat it twice and then cut out a square from the Art Philosophy cartridge that had the edges snipped, and using an ink sponge I added CTMH gypsy ink smeared as the background and then stamp wth black ink.

I purchased the stamp set above from another consultant, it is retired, but I love it .  I then matted a  sentiment and faux stitched the edges.  Oh and the fianl touch is the bling. :)

took a shot at starbursts

Good evening everyone,  I have seen all kinds of starburst cards on Pinterest, facebook and while cruising the blogs and was a little intimidated by them, but finally watched a tutorial or 2 and decided to give it a try, and I love them..so so easy.  I got my daughter in law making them and she is addicted.  I also showed her a tutorial on the herringbone card and she whipped one right out, going to try that next.   Hope you are all having a great evening and weekend,  take a peek and please leave a little bloggy love , thanks

EXCITEMENT BUILDING!!

EXCITEMENT IS BUILDING..

The new Close to My Heart Convention is under way and sneaky peeks are poppin up everyowhere, all I can say is I got a sneak peek at the up coming 2014-2015 catty and you are just going to love it..I hope you will remember me when you want to order something!!! posts coming soon, be wathcing!!!

In the meantime.. I wanted to share with you a card making technique I found on the web and decided to try it..it is called Braided card.  for the first card I used Close to My Heart papers, satmps, inks, a yellow resin flower,  and the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.

Cuttin' & Stampin' Challenge 14-24 Fourth of July

Card #1

The flag in the front is from the flag stamp from Pebbles

and flowers from CTMH Cricut cartridge Artiste and the ink used is CTMH Blue Denim.

Card #2

The pinwheels come from the collection and the tag is stamped with Holoday red ink form CTMH using the postal stamp from the Pebbels stamp set.

I found a star brad in my stash and added it:)

I really enjoyed making these cards.. loved the elements that go with the PebblesAmaericana papers!!  You will to..How about you head on over to the Cuttin & Stampin Scrappy supply store here get you some of the awesome papers and give this challenge a try. but before you do, check out the other Design team member projects here for a little inspiration :)  Have a great week:)

My Sheri Crafts Challenge 134..2 stars

Hello everyone,happy Saturday,  this is a fun Saturday...

I am so excited, I was the winner of  the challenge 134

Guest Designer spot at My Sheri Crafts.  it takes place..6/21/14 til 7/4/14.   For this challenge I had to make any card I like, using any materials, but have to incorporate atleast 2 STARS.

I decided to use Close To My Hearts' Avonlea paper pack for my card as well as Close To My Hearts Twilight, Juniper and Pacifica inks..the stamps were Dreamer Flair and also Take Note.  for the Ribbon I used Ribbons from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Company. and "bling" from Close To My Heart as well..
So without further ado... here is my card...
