Shawnee and Z'sBirthday Bash Hop

Welcome to the Birthday Bash Blog Hop, January 12!! Today is Zenita aka Scrappinwith’Z’s 50th Birthday and Shawnee’s Birthday is Monday so they decided to throw themselves a Birthday party and invite some of their friends along!! To help celebrate Jen’s Digi Stamps and Scrapbook Stamp Society has graciously gave us some digis to give away to a couple of our commenter’s!! Plus Chriss has some Washi tape for another commenter. So please leave a comment at each of our friend’s blogs for your chance to be a winner. Zenita is our hostess today (since she’s the oldest birthday girl)…lol so we hope you have started at her blog, http://www.scrappinwithz.blogpot.com  If you came from Sher you are on the right track, but if you just came to visit with me please go back and start with our hostess.
First I want to say Happy Birthday to Shawnee and Zenita...Hope your day is wonderful for both of you! Now on to my project: Zenita has a guest speaker on her blog today, and it is all about her experience with cancer, and to bring cancer awareness, so I did my birthday card in pink.

For this card, I cut out a circle card at 5 inches,  from the Cricut Art Philosophy  cartridge.  Than for the top of it I cut out the Tag image on page 35 of the Wrap it Up cartridge.  I cut both the tag black out (in green) and the Tag in Pink.
To decorate the card I used  butterflies from the Art Philospophy cartridge, 3 Girl jam ribbon. pink rhinestones, I chipboard heart that I inked with Tim Holtz Pickled  Raspberries ink, Hearts and a pice of crocheted lace from my stash.  Papers are from Bazzil and K&Co.

On the inside I stamped with Stampin Up happy Birthday stamp and The Pickled Raspberry.

Thanks for stopping by to celebrate with us today and please keep on hopping to see

what Chriss has created for your enjoyment!!

KinderStampO Theme-spired Saturday

Happy Saturday everyone.  How is everyone's New Year starting out??  Super I hope.  Today I am posting for the first time as a KinderStampO Guest Design Team member on their Theme -Spired Saturday. it is all about winter Couples.
My project for this challenge " Winter Couple" I  decided to keep with the Penguins theme, I believe they mate for a lifetime, so that is a true  Winter couple.  I love the penguins from the Simply Charmed cartridge they are so adorable, especially with googley eyes.
With valentines day around the corner, I thought I would go with the hearts on my project and have light blue kind of indicative of ice and arctic for the penguins, not only that, I wanted to use the beautiful turquoise handmade mulberry roses from KinderStampO's store.

I used the Cricut's Close to my Heart cartridge Artiste  to cut out this gift box at 5 inches.  You can find the box in the book on page 40.  I cut the penguins from Simply Charmed at 2 and 1/2 inches.  The hearts were at 2 and 3/4 and 2 inches.

I chose the S.E.I. paper because the print on the side had all kinds of words, used with couples...Darling, Honey,Sweetie, Pumpkin, love and so on.  I used the teardrop pearls beacuse they kinda gave the look of icicles hanging from the top.

On the cover of the gift box, I tied a knot in a piece of white thule and glued to box, inked a small heart, glued some of the mullberry roses on it  and cut a piece of the Turquoise blossom trim and glued it to the side of the heart.  I then decorated the back of the box, below...

Supply list from KinderStampO store:
Tear drop pearls
Ocean Breeze Turquois Mulberry paper roses
Coconut ivory handmade mulberry paper roses
Turquoise and diamond blossom trim
Other supplies:

 Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge

Doggie on Swing

Doggie on  Swing

Good morning everyone. Today is my day to post a project for Jen;s Digi Stamps.  Today I get to use another cute Digi... Doggie on  swing.

I made a 6x6 card using Bazzill  Brown card stock, and for the mats, I used Lily bee Design's Victoria Park 6x6 Tiny Tablet.  I colored the image and then cut around it with wazy specialty scissors and then inked with Tim Holtz, Festive Berries.  For the vine and flowers on the side I cut them from the Cricut Cartridge,  Straight form the nest with Colorbok Paper.

To color the image I used my yellow set of Spectrum Noir markers, and Letraset Promarkers.  If you would like the exact colors numbers and names, message me and I would be glad to let you know.

For the sentiment on the front, I used twine from Close To My Heart, as well as the Chipboard banner and some Bo Bunny Gems in purple.  I inked around the edge of the chip board with Tim Holtz distress ink pad , Seedless Preserves.

Here I put a organza butterfly, which is held on with Fabritac.

The inside has a lavender mat stamped with a sentiment from Stampin Up.

I hope you enjoyed my  card today, I like how it turned out.  If you would like to give him a try, or see the other wonderful images, please head over to the store and take a look around!!
Thanks for stopping by.
