Close To MY Heart Huntington layout

Good morning all..Man have I been busy lately.  My Husband has had hospital stays, doctor appointments and physical therapy that has me hopping, nevermind the babysitting and regular every day chores.lol
But... I manged to get in a quick project.  I recently ordered the My Creations 6x6 canvas frame (Z1818) from Close To My Heart amd the Huntington paper pack (X7174B)  and made a small scrap layout to hang on the wall.  I LOVE the Hintington papers.  I love fall colors anyways.  I used a metal dragonfly I got from Michaels to embellish it and I made my own flower for it from a paper punch and some Lindy Stamp gang spray.  The Frame cut and the leaf border and the mostly hidden Colonial white paper honeycomb cut were all from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge (Z1905)

Other supplies I used was Modge podge to adhere the first white mat. the rest of the layers I used atg gun, fabritac or my zig pen.

I also made the stick pen from some beads I purchased at Walmart. I also used buttons from my stash and Glue Dots vellum adhesive sheets and CTMH crystal gems.

If you would like to purchase any of the CTMH products..please head to my web page and be sure to click on the National Stamping month party.to join.  And do not forgetif you spend $50.00 or more before tax ansd shipping you can get the stamp of the month for $5.00 (reg $17.95)

WEDDING BELLS ARE RINGING!

Fall wedding bells...

Good evening everyone, did you all have a good day,  I did, I made cards alllllll day. I made a wide variety too. The 3  that I am going to show you are for special orders from friends.  A couple of the weddings are in the fall so, hence fall leaves are used, which by the way were saved from my son and daughter in laws wedding last fall:)  Recycling!

The first card I used the Cricut Wrap it Up cartridge, papers from my stash, ribbon I won from Creative scrappers, Bo Bunny gems, Atg gun and zig pen.

Second card is from Wrap it up too.  Some of the supplies I got from Kinderstampo's shop, the wood die cut was from Recollections, the stamp and bling come from Close To My Heart. as well as the ink. the flowers  are from my stash, and I used Stickles for the veil.

And the last one Also was made using the  Cricut Wrap It Up cartridge.  I had also found a 6x6 pad of DCWV Burlap paper in the clearance bin, bought it and love it.  I cut a strip to put across the center of the card, and then added some lace from the Really Reasonable Ribbon assortment I just got.. Love their ribbon!!  The paper pad is the Bo Bunny Apple cider collection.
Well I hope you liked the cards I had to share tonight.  Please come back:)

I am back , finally

I am finally back!!

I have been gone for a spell, soooo much going on in my life.  Husband has had many hospital stays and we had a death in the family and lots of babysitting of the grandchildren.  But I am here with a simple post and to let you know i miss you all, I maust have missed a lot of great posts.  I regret that, but I will be peeking in again.
I joined creative Swappers on Facebook and i love it, they have such fun swaps. One of the swaps I joined was to create 12 pumkins with sad faces.  Here are mine>

I used the Disney Happily Ever After cartridge to cut the pumpkin at 3 3/4 inches and then I used the art Philosophy cartridge to cut an oval at 3 1/2 inches to put in the front to give him a little dimension.  I inked the edges of the pumkin with TH distress inks..Festive berries and Peacock feathers.  I then used a white gel pen to hilight.  for the eyes I used a small oval punch, for the nose, I used a 1/2 inch circle punch and trimmed off the bottom, to square it off and then used a pop dot to pop it off the page a little and inked it.  For the mouth, I used a Stampin up oval punch and the used a large circle punch to trim the bottom of the oval to give the up side down curve to the mouth.

I hope the recipients like them:)
Have a great night, and thanks for stopping by.  cathy

Double Dutch fold

Double Dutch Fold

Good evening everyone, how was your day?  Mine was a busy one on the road.  Third day on a row.  My husband has been having testing for his heart.. stress tests, that they do when you are in a wheelchair and can not walk on a treadmill.  Come to find out he may have a blockage, which they are going to try to treat with meds for now.

Anyways, after supper tonigh, I wanted to try a card I saw this morning on Splitcoast stampers.  It is a double dutch fold card.  It was real easy and fun.

you start with 2 pieces of card stock..one at 9x 4 3/16 and the other is 2 by 8 1/2

Score the 4 3/16 by 9 paper at 5 1/2.
Score the 2 by8 1/2 at 2 1/8 and 6 3/8.
then with your adhesive, ( I used liquid so it would give me a little playroom to make sure it lined up good) you adhere the center section of the 2 by 8 1/2 behind the lower part of the 4 3/16 by 9, so that when the top folds down, it meets the top of the side flaps.
I then cut out a border with a punch and glued it behind the fop flpa and decorated with Graphic 45 French Country and scraps of cardstock, I made a daisey with the art Philosophy cartridge and put a pearl brad through it and punched out leaves with a Martha Stewart punch.  Used Close to My Heart Lagoon Ink pad and a close to my heart stamp and one I got from a yard sale.  Also some ribbon was used I got at Joanns and the ribbon embellishment buckle I got from a RAK

Well I hope you like my card and my instructions were understandable.  If not here is the tutorial

Thanks for stopping in to see my card today!

Just want to mention, I am a little short on my goal this month for Close To My Heart, if there is anything at all you need, would appreciate if you could take a minute and head to my website, and click Join Cathy's Christmas in July gathering:)
Thanks in advance!!

Have a great night
