New cards made today
I recently purchased a few and won a couple Tear Bear Critters from Susanne at Handmade Beary Tear Bear Critters. I just love them. They are made with Mulberry Paper and are just so furry and cute. As soon as I got them in the mail, I pulled out my Cricut and my crafting goodies and pulled together a couple of cards with "Bella the Bunny" and "Boston the Kitty". The papers used were from DCWV and Walmart. I used some rhinestones and faux pearls. Cricut cartridges used are Create a Critter, and Seasonal Cake cartridge. The lavender ribbon was from Walmart too. Hope you like them:) I think I am going to be going to the Beary Scrap and get some patterns and Mulberry paper and give these little Critters a try!! Happy crafting. Cathy

monkey business:)
Here is a cute little thank you card I threw together for my daughter in law. She asked if I would make one for her to give to a fellow worker. So I grabbed my go to cartridge...Create a Critter. I cut out a couple of monkeys at 3.5 inches and some vines, a palm tree, some grass and a couple of bananas and voila there you go, oh and a kite to stamp the thank you sentiment on:) I added a few small pink rhinestones on the kite to dress it up and a few yellow rhinestones on the palm trees too. I inked up the bananas and grass. I also used my white gel pen here and there, finished it off with a yellow striped ribbon. Hope you like it:)

Winter skater
I decided to try coloring an image today with colored pencils, because I do not own very many pro markers and no Copics and I have a lot of crayolas. I joined the Scrapbook stamp Society and I wanted to try some of their images. I am probably out of their league, but what the heck...lets have fun:)))
I grabbed a freebie digi called Lil Ragamuffin Winter Skater by Sherri Baldy. I colored it in as I said with crayolas Colored pencils, tried my best with shading. She is such a cute lil skater I think.
For embellishment I printed off some flowers with assorted cardstock, the large pink one was layered and attatched together with a rhinestone brad, all were inked on the edges, and a little Stickles was added for a little shimmer. In her hair I added a couple small rhinestones. The pattern paper in the background was from a new card stack I got from DCWV,I love it, it is called the Fresh Floral Stack.
I am entering it into their challenge.."Pretty in Pink" on their Challenge blog here so you can check it out. The theme of the Challenge is PINK as you probably can tell:) lol Hope you like

Entering another challenge
Well it is a new year and I want to make this year one of crafty fun and challenges, hope I can stick to it. I recently won a couple of adorable Crafter's Companion stamp sets. I love them!! One of them was Popcorn the Bear, so I thought I would try my hand at coloring him with some ProMarkers that I had won a while back. Although I colored most of the image with the Promarkers, I had to use some Crayola colored Pencils because only fave a few markers. I am still in the learning/experimenting Phase with these markers.
I used Echo Park's Springtime papers for the card, as well as Petaloo flowers that I inked pink. To give it a little bling I added a few different colored faux pearls. I also added a strip of pink glittery ribbon down the side, that I pick up on clearance at Wal Mart after Christmas. In case you have not noticed, I love pink.lol
Thanks for taking the time to check out my card:)
I am entering it in the Crafer's Companion's January Challenge. You can check it out here

need organizational help:)
I am trying to get a little help on my craft organizing..Consumer Crafts is having a contest where you show pictures and explain why you need a hand and then one person will be selected to get $150.00 in organizational products. So I am going to explain and post a picture.
My crafting space is really small, and it is not that I am not really organized, it is that what I have needs to be organized better and i know not how. My husband is wheel chair bound with Primary progressive Multiple Sclerosis. He spends a great part of his day in bed. So I choose to scrap and paper craft in the room there with him. He just went into a hospital bed so there is sooooooo little space.
Everything I craft with is in the room with me, in a corner, on a small computer desk, so I am constantly shuffleling things around and picking things up off the floor, wiping shoe prints off them, lol, hunting for things, and so on and so on, you get the picture, So if I should win, I need instruction as well on how to organize it so I can craft, have fun, less stress and still share the company of my husband:) thank you Cathy

I am back...
I am finally back on my blog with something to show. I have been busy with the holidays and doctor appointments and over night sleep studies for my husband. For those of you who do not know me, my husband has Primary Progressive MS and requires a lot of care. He has been in a wheel chair for 7 years. I do my crafting in our bedroom which is where he spends most of his day. I so love making cards and now I am getting into making scrapbooks. Working on one right now for my son and his future wife. They went to New York to Times Square and to see Phantom of the Opera and to New Jersey to Carlos Bakery.
So, last night I put together this card. Valentines Day is just around the corner. I love owls and pink and for Christmas I got 2 new cartridges from my daughter in law. The Paisley one and Straight from the Nest. I love them. So I put this card together to enter it in the "Cooking With Cricuts'" Something new Challenge. This will be my first Challenge, kind of excited:)

Cricuts Straight from the Nest Cartridge...new
Cricut Paisley Cartridge...new
