Hello fellow crafters, Cathy here to share my Home decor project using Helmar adhesives.
I do not know about you but where I come from, we have had a whole lot of snow, so I decided I need a diversion, so figured I would do an Easter/Spring decor project..
first, I acquired 3 pieces of pine wood, one at 2x4x8 and 2 @ 2x4 x6. I sanded them...
Then I purchased some white chalk paint, and gave each of them 3 coats of paint,
Then I took 3 coordinating scraps of cloth in bright spring colors and cut them out into bunny ear shapes and pressed them.
My next step I took thin floral wire and wrapped it around a pencil several time and then trimmed off.
I made several "loopy" wires.
With a couple of them I tird them around the ears to make hair for the bunnies...
For noses, I took some wooden hearts I got for Christmas and painted then light pink/
I wanted the ears to have a little stiffness, so I used my HelmarFabric Stiffner
I poured a little in a paper plate and brushed it on the backside of each ear and then ...
Draped them over bottle to dry.
I used my one inch paper punch and punched out enough circles to make 3 for each eye so they would be thick. and used Helmar Craft glue to hold them together.
Next I put down some small globs of Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to hold the eyes on the boards..it is just like using a glue gun without the burn...
I now want something thick to be able to hold my wire whiskers and the wooden heart nose and the ears and hair on top,..and what better to do that than the Helmar Scrap Dots
and Voila!! the finished Bunnies!!
Helmar products used...
Helmar Scrap Dots,
Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
Helmar Craft Glue
Helmar Fabric Stiffener
