MCCR Letter of the Day "G"
Good morning and welcome to my blog. This is my design team post for MY Cricut Craft Room and today's Letter Of the Day is "G".. we Have to use a cartridge starting with the letter "G" or use a cut from a cartridge that starts with the letter "G".
The first thing to my mind for "G" was ghosts and goblins. That was all I could come up with, and since my favorite cards are holiday cards, I went with it. A cute cartridge to do Halloween cards is Paper Doll Dress up. It had the most adorable costumes and acessories.
I made my card with an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of card stock, scored in half. I then made a mat with orange card stock from Core'dinations cut at 8 1/4 by 5 1/4. The patterned paper came from Cloud 9 Design Seasonal Paper pad, cut at 8x5. All the layers were attached with my ATG Gun.
The Cloud was cut from Create a Critter cartridge at 1 1/2 and was then inked with Tim Holtz walnut distress ink, and then I faux stitched with black gel pen. then I used 1 1/2 inch circle punch and for the moon and I inked it with orange and red inks from CTMH to give it an eerie effect. and applied both with pop dots.
I then used the Cartridge paper Doll dress up to cut the little boy at 4 1/2 inches and the ghost at 5 1/4". and the goblin at 4 1/4. Inked around the edges with Walnut ink. I cut the pumpkin at 1 1/2 in orange and inked the top in green for stems and cut it again in b lack to give the eyes their blackness. Then I cut the bat and spider at one inch and used a gel pen to make it look like the web was tied to the goblins finger.
I used my white gel pen to give them eyes.lol and used yellow stickles for the antenna for the goblin and googley eyes too:) Then I cut a tree from the same cartridge and another bat for the inside of the card to finish.
Oh My.....I forgot that I also used Martha Stewart Seasonal cake cartridge for the sentiment at 1 1/4 inches, for both regular and shadow. Thanks for stopping by and i hope you like and will come back again!
