Camping Critters

Good morning all..wow, two mornings in a row I post..been a while.lol.  Last night I dug out the Camping Critters cartridge and had a little fun.  I decided to make a side step card, I had not made one in a while and I like them.  The size of the card stok before cut and scored it 9x8 inches.

On the 8 inch side I Cut the cardstock with my paper trimmer one inch in down to the 7 inch mark and then took the paper and scored it at 1, 2, 3 1/2 , 5 and 7 inches and then on the other side of the cut paper I scored and 4 and 1/2.. Then do your mountain valley fold.

I then cut out all the pieces for the cards with cricut set at 4 inches, used Close to my Heart inks and stamps.  Core'dinations, DCWV and CTMH papers, Atg gun, Xyron Create a sticker for small parts, Bo Bunny gems, flower punch, gel pens and some wooden fern embellishments.  Hope you like my post today..have a great day.

Good evening friends.  This weekend I was able to steal a little time to make a few cards.  While I was hopping around Pinterest I saw a card shape I liked,  the creator called it a "Layered window Frame",but I did not have the die to cut the shape of the card that the young lady had posted, so I tried going at it a little differently.  I really liked the way her's turned out., but I am happy with this though.  Not sure if there is a name for it, if it has been done, but here are the cards I did and what I did to achieve it.

First of all you will need a piece of card stock cut at 4 1/4 by 11 inches....

Then you score the cardstock at ..3 1/2, 4 1/2, 6 1/2 and 7 1/2

Mountain/valley fold it... then on the 2 inch piece in the center you will cut out any shape that you want as the mate and layer it with as many mats as you want, changing each layer by 1/4 inch increments.

On each side you will have to mat the cardstock with coordinating cardstock, starting at 3 1/4 by 4, as well as patterend paper and of course embellish them.

Happy Hauntings boot fun!!

Happy Haunting cards

Good evening crafty friends. I have finally been able to make some cards the last coule of days.  I borrowed my sisters Happy Hauntings cartridge.  I saw a couple cards while surfing the net that had the witches boot decorated and it got me in the mood to make a couple cards, even though it is not Fall yet.lol.  I made these 2 cards using Close To My Heart papers, 3 Girl Jam Ribbon, Bo Bunny Gems, Twine and button, Xyron Create a Sticker, Close to my heart Stamps,and inks.

Then after I made thes cards, I got to thinking they would be cute, as regular dress shoe, evven though the toe tips are a little long and pointy.lol, so here is what I came up with...  

So...what do you think?? does it work.lol

card makin weekend

Good evening my friends, today was yet another rainy day. I think I am going to sprout mushrooms soon, I wish some of this rain would go out west where it is needed and let us dry out.

Well this weekend I made a few cards and had such fun. first I mad a birthday card for my sister who loves owls.

I used the Stampin Up Owl punch , so I used my Xyron Create A sticker to run all the pieces through, to make it easy.

Next, I wanted to make a card and gift bag set using the Graphic 45 Secret garden collection, here is what I came up with!

and next....I need to restock on sympathy cards and wanted to try out the new Martha Stewart deep punch I just got...and I used one of the 3 D flowers I made.

And lastly I did a wobble card with a Peachy Jeen face.  the flower wobbles, I did a short video of the card in action, not sure what wobbled more, my filming or the card.lol so here is a pic of just the card.
